Your data. Your files. Your choice.

1. You can always leave, with everything

Export your complete Memnar at any time: every file, in plain markdown, free of charge. No proprietary format, no partial exports, no "contact support to get your data". This also works after you cancel. An automated test in our deployment pipeline fails the build if full export ever breaks.

2. We never sell your data

Your data is never sold, rented or shared for advertising or profiling. Our revenue comes from subscriptions, not from you being the product.

3. No training on your content without your say-so

We do not train AI models on your content unless you explicitly opt in, and you can revoke that opt-in at any time.

4. The EU choice is yours, permanently

Today, Memnar's AI inference runs on European vendors (Mistral, Gladia), and data storage, hosting and email run in EU regions, with working GDPR erasure. As we grow internationally, one thing will not change: you can always choose to keep your data and processing entirely within the EU. The full sub-processor list is in our privacy policy.

5. Your words stay your words

Your source files stay untouched and owned by you; excerpts are preserved word for word. Everything Memnar derives from them is visible and editable. Nothing happens silently.

How these promises are kept

• Anchored in the product: export and portability are architecture, not policy. Your Memnar is plain markdown; walking away with everything is always possible.
• Anchored in the company: user ownership and portability are written into our founding mission, and will be part of the company's statutory purpose at incorporation.
• Anchored in public: this page is versioned. If anything here ever changes, the change is dated and explained on this page. No silent edits.

• Version 1.1 · 22 August 2026 · a new place your AI-self can be read
  The Memnar Academy (academy.memnar.ai) can now read four sections of your AI-self, namely identity, expertise, workflows and projects, to write personalised lesson notes and micro-learnings. This is off by default and needs its own opt-in, separate from the consent you gave when building your AI-self, because it is a different purpose. Your voice file, which holds passages quoted word for word from your own material, is not used. The writing runs on Mistral in France, so promise 4 is unchanged. Withdrawing the opt-in deletes everything that was generated for you, not just the permission, and that deletion is enforced by the database rather than by a promise. None of the five commitments above changed; this entry exists because promise 5 says nothing happens silently, and a new read of your AI-self is exactly the kind of thing that must not.
